In 1922, Charlie Broulim opened his first store on Main Street in Rigby, Idaho. Since then, Broulim’s Fresh Foods has built a strong reputation for excellent customer service and high-quality products. Over the past 100 years, the business has grown and expanded into new locations across Southeast Idaho and Western Wyoming.
Today, Broulim’s has 12 stores in cities like Rigby, Rexburg, Montpelier, Driggs, St. Anthony, Soda Springs, Shelley, Afton, Alpine, Ammon, Thayne, and Malad City. With more than 800 skilled workers, Broulim’s is committed to offering great value, service, and product selection to every customer.

Broulim's History
1951
Following a fire, the Rigby store was not only rebuilt but also enlarged to accommodate growing customer needs.
1962
After studying in Chicago, Dick Broulim returned to Rigby and acquired the family grocery business from his father.
1967
Broulim’s opened its Montpelier, Idaho location to serve the local community.
1971
Broulim’s opened a new location in Roberts, Idaho, welcoming customers with open doors. **Now Closed**
1974
To meet increasing demand, a new store was built in Rigby, Idaho.
1983
St. Anthony, Idaho opened their doors for business.
1985
Rexburg, Idaho opened their doors for business.
1995
A new 42,000 square foot store was opened in Rigby, Idaho
1998
Driggs, Idaho opened their doors for business. The Hillman's store was purchased and remodeled
2004
Shelley, Idaho opened their doors for business. The Albertson's store was purchased and remodeled.
2006
Soda Springs, Idaho store opened their doors for business. The Lew and Dan's store was purchased and remodeled.
2012
Alpine, Wyoming opened their doors for business.
2012
Afton, Wyoming opened their doors for business.
2014
Broulim's became an employee-owned company.
2015
A new store was built and opened in Ammon, Idaho.
2022
Thayne, Wyoming store opened their doors for business. The Valley Market store was purchased and remodeled.
2025
Malad City, Idaho store opened their doors for business. Thomas Market store was purchased and remodeled.
